The UAEM Exchange Program allows normal academic program toward UNT degrees while studying at the Toluca Campus. Students may take courses in Spanish language and Mexican culture or those already proficient in Spanish can take regular coursework at any of UAEM's 21 departments.
Students pay tuition/fees at UNT and room/board and other normal expenses at the host university. UNT students in Mexico will enroll in courses as regular students and are responsible for all coursework and examinations. Students live in apartments or family housing and participate fully in the life of the Mexican campus. Participating students may enjoy several recreational and cultural trips during holiday periods.
Interested students must complete an Exchange Program application arrange for faculty recommendations, provide a personal statement, provide official transcripts, and be interviewed by an International Exchange Review commitee.
If you want to study intensive Spanish, you must have Sophomore-standing (30 credits) or above and a minimum 2.50 GPA or above.
All normal financial aid (except Work Study) applies. Consult Financial Aid Office for details. Students not currently receiving regular financial aid should not expect it for this program, but the International Education Fee Scholarships will be available to qualified students on a first-come first-served basis.
Note: the following costs are for one semester abroad; costs for one year abroad will be higher.
