Tübingen Exchange Program

The Tübingen Exchange Program enables UNT students to attend Tübingen University for a semester or an academic year, pay UNT tuition and earn UNT transfer credit. Participating students make normal academic progress at about the same cost as studying on the UNT campus.

UNT students at Tübingen will enroll in courses as regular students and are responsible for all course work and examinations. Students live in university accommodations and participate fully in the life of the German campus. Students pay tuition/fees at UNT and room/board and other normal expenses at the German University.

Participating students may enjoy several periods of travel during holiday periods, and during the between semester recess (March - April).

Students interested in taking courses to improve their German language skills can do so through the Internationale Sprachprogramme. This is an institution of the University that offers courses specifically for International students wishing to improve their German. Courses are offered for different levels and topics can vary anywhere from grammar to German history, to art and literature, etc. Information about the Internationale Sprachprogramme can be found at http://www.uni-tuebingen.de/isp/. This institute also offers a number of orientation programs before each semester. It is highly recommended that students attend one of these orientation programs. Information about them can be found at http://www.uni-tuebingen.de/isp/isp/isp_studvorb.html (the month-long Deutsch Kompakt orientation course is recommended).
