Traveling To
- Kansai Gaidai University (Hirakata, Osaka, Japan (34.82, 135.67))
The Kansai Gaidai Exchange Program enables UNT students to attend the Kansai Gaidai University for an academic year or semester and earn UNT transfer credit.
UNT students at Kansai Gaidai will enroll in courses as regular students and are responsible for all course work and examinations. Students live in homestays or dormitory rooms and participate fully in the life of the Japanese campus. Students pay tuition/fees and room/board at UNT.
Participating students may enjoy several periods of travel in Japan during holiday periods and after the completion of the program in mid-May.
Interested students must complete an Exchange Program application (obtained in the Study Abroad Center; 115 Kendall Hall), arrange for faculty recommendations, provide a personal statement, provide official transcripts, and be interviewed by an International Exchange Review Committee.
All normal financial aid (except Work Study) applies. Consult the Financial Aid Office for details. Students not currently receiving regular financial aid should not expect to receive that assistance for this program, but International Education Fee Scholarships will be available for exchange program participants.
