Global Interact

Global Interact is a community group committed to friendship with international students at the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University in Denton.

Global Interact plans group events and arranges for families or single persons to develop ongoing friendships with students from all over the world. Its goal is to create cross-cultural communication, provide students the opportunity to experience U.S. culture in a meaningful way and to bring diversity into homes in the Denton community.

Upcoming Group Events

• An American Thanksgiving - a feast cooked by real American moms and dads in November (pictures)
• Picnic in the Park - food and fun in the spring

Students can look forward to special occasions in Denton homes. Also, students may celebrate their own traditional holidays in Denton homes with families who want to share cultures.

Getting Involved

Global Interact is non-sectarian. It is not a home-stay program, but provides opportunities for students and families to share as much or as little as they agree upon.
