Transferring to Another School
Main Content
- First, apply to the other school.
- Your new school will send you an acceptance letter.
- They will also mail you a 'transfer clearance form' which allows you to move your I-20 from IELI/UNT to your new school.
- The transfer clearance form tells you to take that paper to the 'student advisor.' This means you should take that paper to the International Admissions and Advising Center in Kendall Hall, Room 171. The IAAC will complete the form and mail it to your new school. You cannot mail it; IAAC will mail it for you. After your new school receives your transfer clearance form from the IAAC office, your new school will mail you a new I-20.
- If you are an IELI student, you should advise the IELI Office, Kendall Hall, Room 259, when you will transfer to the new school.
