Status Checks
Please include an email address with your application so that we can send a "status letter" and your admission tracking number when we initially process your application. You can check your status online once we have given you your UNT Student ID. You are also welcome to check your admissions status by sending us an email with a subject of "status check". Due to the volume of application, it takes 1-2 weeks to respond.
Orientation
New International students must meet with our International Advising office for immigration advising. International Student Orientation is mandatory for all F-1 and J-1 visa holders. All other international students must participate in Document Check-in. International Student Orientation and Document Check-in are only done during scheduled Orientation and Registration periods.
Undergraduate students are also required to attend a mandatory University orientation. Advance registration is required. Contact the Office of New Student and Mentoring Programs for details on cost and registration dates.
Students who are enrolled in programs offered exclusively online are not required to attend International Student Orientation and Document Check-in because they will not be conducting their studies in the U.S.
Registration
Registration for classes cannot occur until after you have attended all required orientations on campus. The registration schedule is listed online.
Some classes require a Departmental Advising Clearance Code. You will need to contact the department of your major for information on how to get your Clearance Code.
