The SEVIS Fee will increase from $100 to $200. The date of increase is expected to be October 1, 2008, or possibly a few days later. We recommend that anyone who needs to pay a SEVIS Fee, pay it before October 1, 2008. More information about the fee, also called the I-901 fee, can be found at http://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/index.htm .

USCIS has issued yet another new I-765. All versions, including the one issued in April 2008, will no longer be accepted after June 22, 2008. The new version is 5/27/08 N². It can be downloaded from www.uscis.gov/forms

If you are applying to USCIS for any kind of F-1 work authorization, please make sure that you are using this newest I-765 to avoid risk of having the application rejected.
